I love dresses, but more than that... I love dresses that are "blank canvases." AS IN... I can accessorize this black one from Anthropologie 100 times, 100 different ways. Maybe more. This one is made of a thicker material, so it is NO FUSS and no one likes fussing... so everyone would like this dress. Plus it is on sale right now. Sweet.
Things like this dress are important closet staples. It is a perfect go-to for those "what do I wear today" days, [umm isn't that every day??] AND you can change the look of it with simple shoes or necklaces or scarf or a fedora or you get the point probably. In this instance, I was off to the Nordstrom Rack shopping event. I wore a jeweled headband, my coral Gap City Flats, and a necklace that I MADE [sorta].
In regards to my DIY necklace... I am guest posting on one of my favorite blogs today! I told my friends over at Glitter and Grace all about this DIY necklace and how YOU can have something similar with a little paint and patience. Take a look, and have a wonderful Monday!!

LOVE that necklace! Off to see the tutorial :)

DeleteThe colors of happiness!
DeleteI need to DIY a few of my necklaces to make them more 'me'! Thanks for the great idea!! PS. This dress is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of pearls but I like your turquoise version so much more! The pop of color is beautiful especially with the bright pink.
ReplyDeleteThe third picture of this post is easily my favorite picture of you ever. (Does this make me sound a little stalkerish...? I'm not, I promise)
ReplyDeletePlus this is ensemble is so simple and easy to imitate, but still looks fresh! I love reading your blog!!
Thanks, Jenna! And I don't think you're a stalker, don't worry haha!! I am so glad you like my blog and I always appreciate your comments.
DeleteKelli, I love this. I'm so glad you shared it with me because I don't think I would have thought about spraying pearls and this color is so cute and fun for spring the way you made it turqoise. I love the idea of pairing it with the black dress and red flats. Super stylish!!
