You all know I’m pretty obsessed with little details. And I’m also pretty obsessed with accessorizing. But what about accessorizing WITH little details? In my opinion, brooches are the lost, unsung hero of any jewelry box. A brooch has unlimited possibilities- and won’t weigh down your wrist/neck/ears. It is small and cute and can up the ante on an entire outfit.

Right now, my favorite brooch is this little bee from Stella & Dot. It is hand painted and while it is small, it makes a big statement. My friend Karen with Stella & Dot [store|facebook] was SO kind to send it to me, and I had a blast styling it:

A cute, simple pony tail, and attach it to the elastic!

SO cute! I think the little bee brooch would look lovely pinned to a neck scarf along with a flowing maxi dress! :)

Your styling on the necklace is so cute! I was thinking this brooch on one of my headbands would be fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous accessory! I would absolutely wear it on a pearl necklace. I love that look!
ReplyDeleteI've never worn a broch but I'd like to try, maybe on my soft pink cardigan!
ReplyDeleteLove all the ways you styled it! Especially clipped on to your necklace! I have this long pearl strand necklace that I would double up and attach this fun broach!
ReplyDeleteAlso following you on GFC!:)
ReplyDeleteAnd following Karen on FB!
ReplyDeleteCute brooch! I'd pin it to a scarf that was draped over the shoulders and use it to gather fabric from both sides in the middle.
ReplyDeletebree(dot)irwin(at)gmail(dot)com
I'd also use it if I had a baggy shirt that was too big. You could gather the fabric in the back and use the brooch to pin it so it's more fitted in the front :)
ReplyDeletebree(dot)irwin(at)gmail(dot)com
I love the way you styled it on the pearl necklace. I would definitely wear it like that or pinned to a black dress for some sparkle!
ReplyDeleteAlso following you and Karen! Thanks Kelli :)
ReplyDeleteSO cute! I love the little teal circle on the bee, so dainty!- I would style the brooch onto a headband rr pin it onto a small clutch to give it a little sass!
ReplyDeleteOops. here is my e-mail desg3562(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteThe bee brooch is too adorable! I love how you styled it on the necklace - I also think it would be super cute pinned to a clutch or small bag!

CUTE! I really want to see that entire top that you are wearing in the first photo!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably attach it to a necklace or bag!

I would wear it in my hair or attach it to a belt! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it with a black and white stripe skirt and a yellow top. Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to use it to fasten a massive chunky knit for these winter months. It'd be a great splash of colour! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

And I live in Australia, so that might count me out but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Such a pretty brooch...I love the pairing with the pearls...I could definitely see myself wearing it that way...I have a cute purse that I think it would really add a lot to as well! So many choices!!

i love it on your necklace!
ReplyDeleteboon1211atgmaildotcom
I would attach it to a bobby pin for a messy bun!
ReplyDeletebrickzin.aub (at) gmail (dot) com
AMAZING. I would attach it to a pearl necklace exactly like you did :)
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm already following you on GFC of course!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso I liked her FB page:):):)
ReplyDeleteI would put it on a head band since my (new) short hair is calling out for some sparkly additions! Plus my work wear has to be kept pretty minimal and simple, so any small flare I can add is welcome :D
ReplyDeleteI would attach it (carefully!) to a bright clutch like this (http://bit.ly/LwQJuT) Kate Spade beauty. I love bright colors and attaching it to a fun, solid color clutch of any color would be a wonderful spring/summer accessory. Accessorizing accessories with accessories? Yes please.
