How I Spend My Weekends:

bike: BeachBikes.net scarf: Vintage glasses: Forever 21 sweater: Lululemon c/o Lindy's closet c/o Lindy's mom jeans: Current/Elliott loafers: [no brand, similar] bag: Kate Landry

I have this new thing I'm doing where I am refusing to use my car on the weekends. Like, at all. By new thing, I mean this is the first weekend I tried it. BUT, I did it! It is really beneficial because it helps the environment, saves me money, and ALSO keeps me doing things that are necessary AND fun. For example, I could have driven to the mall and uselessly shopped [like I planned], but instead... Lindy and I road bikes to brunch. I also, later in the day, pedaled to the market to get my groceries for the week. When I got home, I felt bored AKA confined to my neighborhood. BUT, I got yard work, laundry, and blog stuff done. I'm telling you, its a miracle for my productivity.

Now, I'll be honest. It was particularly hard this particular weekend, because Saturday I was so sick I could hardly get out of bed. And by hardly, I mean.... I couldn't. Sad. So, due to my aching body... bike riding was a littttttttle bit of work. But, I think [all in all] that it healed my little soul and I am ready to take on this Monday.

This outfit is, what I would call, a perfect weekend outfit. It is cozy, I didn't have to do my hair, and the sweater is so cozy that I felt like I was still in my pajam-jams. Which is how clothing should be. I fully intend on pairing it with a pencil skirt or dress pants this week and calling it a Work Sweater. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. :)

  1. Not doing one's hair and still looking put together is such a fantastic feeling.
Also, you're so brave: no shopping for a year, and now no car on the weekends! Amazing!

  7. I freaking love that no-driving idea! It sounds like it would simplify the traffic of one's life. Boise is the perfect place for that lifestyle too! Keep it up!

  8. Love the outfit - I want that sweater! :)
And only using a bike on the weekends is a great idea to save gas money, wish I could do that but it is already way to hot here for that. But that is something I will remember for next Winter/Spring. Haha :)
