I spend a lot of time working on this blog, typing away. Now, you may think I look like this photo as I do that. But truth be told, I either camp out at the dining room table [more space], or simply prop myself up in bed. Now, the photo I just linked to IS my little office: that IS my desk and my chair and also me. BUT, it is not very spacious or comfortable and there is not a lot of room to spread out [as is common with roll-top desks made for 12 year old girls]. I am DYING for a new office. And since I am not greedy, I don't want a whole office. Just a little office space. Not to be confused with the movie, which by the way- is in my top 10 favorites. Thanks to my BFF Pinterest, I found a few options for my dream workstation.
I really like both of these. They are very cozy and neutral. What I'd really love is if I could mash both together- i.e. I want the desk, fur throw, and storage of the first one. But the lamp, chair, and inspiration board of the second one. It is very soft, feminine, and peaceful. Which is often what I need when I am in the blogging zoooone.
THESE TWO, however, are much more the aesthetic of my "dream home." Dangit, I'm doing the "quotes" again. As I was saying, I like that both spaces are edgy and unexpected. Clean, crisp, AND space for a planner next to my laptop- genius. In the second version, however, I'd replace the pops of red with hot pink, add the garland from the other image, and replace the art with my own inspiration board. I guess WHAT I REALLY JUST WANT a hybrid of all four offices in one. Now, if only time would slow down [or speed up???] so I could create one of these for myself. Which look is your favorite?
