WWL: Better Hair.

As of late, I've been in a major hair rut. Yes, I did drastically change the color recently... but style wise, I'm a huge bore. Every day is the same- loose waves [messy, of course] or a little teeny-weeny-embarasseeny top knot. Otherwise known as "bun-head." SO, I have taken to my Pinterest to get inspired and come up with some fun new ideas. While it isn't technically on my New Years Resolution list, I hope 2013 brings me better hair... or in the very least, more creativity. What do you think of the styles I chose??

  1. These are great ideas! I've been waiting for mine to grow out more, and the teased bun is my go-to while it's been in between lengths. So ready to try some of these out this year! Happy hair-styling :)

  2. I LOVE the glam braid!! Have you tried using a sock or one of those foam things that looks like a bagel (from H&M) to help create the perfect top knot??

  3. disclaimer: i'm not short-minded hahaa.

okay i have really thin hair so my top knots can be pretty small too, and i used to tease the shizz out of it to give it more volume but recently i found a method that is much easier on my hair and holds better than a sock bun. overall it's a little messier than the sock bun which i like because i don't like it to look too perfect.

i stumbled upon this web page (via pinterest obvi) http://ellesees.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-lauren-conrads-big-messy-bun-big.html and i use the first method, though my bun doesn't look quite as messy has hers (again thin hair problems).

and i got the mesh bun maker at claires for like $4. it's great because it blends better than a sock and my hair like sticks to it rather than slipping around like a sock.

sometimes i will through a headband on too or a bow at the front of the bun.

that's just my suggestion. it's my easy, semi-put together go-to hairstyle! thought you might like it too!

    1. Hi Mary-Katherine!! Thanks so much for the tips :) I have never used a little bun-maker, but have used the sock & teasing method. I actually did some YouTube video tutorials on them (back when I was blonde) and you can check them out here (though they're nowhere near as good as Elle Sees! http://www.youtube.com/user/TheKelliryder?feature=mhee
