Last week, I was excited to introduce you to talented abstract artist, Heather Day. As I mentioned, I'm designing a few rooms around Heather's original artwork. In addition to "Room #2" debuting today, there's a little somethin'-somethin' happening that I think you'll love. First- let's chat design:
For this drawing, I immediately was in love with the textures and soothing colors. I opted to recreate the drawing in furniture- calming colors and layered textures. This is my dream relaxation space... and full of pieces that Tim would probably veto. I've long been obsessed with this Jonathan Adler couch, and I'd obviously need a sheepskin poof to put up my feet. I played up the hint of gold in the drawing by adding a bright rug from Lulu & Georgia. This would be the perfect space to wrap up in a blanket, pour myself a Pimm's Cup, and dive into Kelly Wearstler's latest book.
