My Kind of [Arm] Party

I have said it many times- I just cannot handle bulky arm candy. I really love the look of them on other arms, but on my own? It's a no. I type all day and I hate when bracelets clank against my desk. Or they'll caught up in my sleeve and at that point, I just end up taking them off and putting them in purse. That's why these small bracelets from Pura Vida have been a style game changer:

They're small enough for my taste and I'm finally able to partake in the Arm Party hashtag. Plus, the company has a great mission and support lots of charities- something I so appreciate. Check out all of the Pura Vida styles here, and let me know what you think in the comments below!

PS- anyone else have a totally wild Monday? UGH. This pin is describing my day perfectly.

  2. Those are beautiful! I like big arm candy every so often. The small ones are more fun to layer anyway :)

  3. While I haven't done much research on the company - those bracelets probably cost about $1 to make and they sell them for around $20 a pop, no? According to their site "Therefore, with every Pura Vida Bracelet sold, we donate 1% back to The Surfrider Foundation through 1% for the Planet." One percent seems like nothing - where is that extra money going?

    1. Such a good point. I'll be honest, when I initially read their site- my eye saw "10%" Result of being too busy and multitasking, or just an assumption.

I felt disappointed in that number, so I did some more research. My understanding is they're providing full time wages/benefits to their team of 30 artisans in Costa Rica, which is the primary goal.

Important to note- I don't work for them, nor was I paid to write this post!! Just wanting to maybe add an explanation if my original post was misleading.

    2. The bracelets are $5.00 a piece, not $20.

    3. Yes, their charity line bracelets $5 but most other bracelets are in the $20+ range.
