Hooray for Fridays! I'm super excited on this particular Friday. I'm typing from SFO, en route to Seattle to visit my BFF! One of the hardest things about moving to San Francisco was leaving all of my best friends in other states. While I've made a lot of great friends in the City by the Bay, nothing compares to those friendships that you've had for years. The best thing about relationships that stand the test of time? Location isn't really an issue, am I right? Between FaceTime, Instagram, and frequent flier miles... you can go years in different area codes & never miss a beat. I imagine this weekend will be filled with lots of great food, good jokes, and maybe [definitely] a mimosa or two. I just hope Lindy remembers how funny she is, and refrains from making jokes when I've just taken a sip. [I tend to laugh so hard I have to spit it out. Sigh.]
How are you spending the sunny Saturday & Sunday ahead??

I LOVE getting things in the mail. So much that the FedEx guy remembers me and if someone gets my address wrong, he just recognizes my name and brings the package on over. From snail mail to new clothes, I just really love unboxing fun parcels. That's why my latest addiction is the POPSUGAR Must Have Box. I just received the June Box, and it was basically like Christmas morning.
The POPSUGAR Must Have Box is a monthly subscription service. For $39.95 a month, you get items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food- all hand selected by POPSUGAR editors. I would say it's the best thing ever. EVER.
This month's box included:
-The One & Only by Emily Giffin: SO excited about this since I'm in search of my next book. This is the same author as "Something Borrowed" and "Baby Proof." I've heard nothing but good things about her writing and can't wait to get started.
-A $15 Credit to Native Union: I actually had never heard of this company before, but we were at the park on Sunday and our friend had a Native Union phone cover. It was really cool-- Tim loved it. I think I'll let him use the credit this time. ;)
-Sachajuan Shiny Citrus Body Lotion: I've tried Sachajuan's hair products before, and haven't been a big fan. However, this lotion is really lovely. Very moisturizing & smells great. Just in time for summer!
-Turkish-T Towel: A perfect throw for day trips to the beach or park! And let's be honest... I'll be wearing it as a scarf all summer long. So cute!
-One Potato Two Potato Chips: Literally eating these as I type. They're not bad-- I actually usually hate flavored chips! I try not to snack too much, but I think I can make an exception for these.
-Lollies Hair Ties: These cute hair ties are made out of swimwear material. I actually have been wearing the gray one as a bracelet-- super cute! I'm not sure if my hair would stay in all day using this as a tie, but it'd be great for the pool when you just need to pull it back for a bit. And they have a cute gold ring, so they'd make your ponytail look fancy.
-You Smell Lemon Wet Wipes: These individually wrapped wipes are great for throwing in your purse or gym bag & using when you don't have time to shower. They smell great!
I was really impressed with the value of the box. I never would have thought to purchase these items on my own, but I am glad to be introduced to them!! It's a really cool concept and I can see myself finding my favorite products through it. And how fun would it be to open up a package every month?? It's a great way to satisfy that shopping craving without going crazy at Zara or H&M and regretting your purchases.
And great news-- you can get $10 off a 3 Month Subscription to the POPSUGAR Must Have Box! Just use code JUNESELECT10 at checkout.
Disclaimer: POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.

Hey everyone! Exciting news about a RAFFLE:
As many of you know, my fiancé Tim is a very talented artist. In fact, it's what he does for a living! He gets a lot of requests to sell his personal artwork, and it's a rare occasion that he actually does. This week, however, he's got TWO original paintings up for grabs. In order to reach our fundraising goals for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, he's raffling these off. For details [and to see the second painting], visit his Tumblr account here. Any donations will help, and your name will be entered to win the painting of your choice. Good art + a good cause. What else could you want?
**If you've already donated and would like the chance to enter... please email me your information & the painting you're gunnin' for! THANK YOU for your support!

Here are the FINAL QUESTIONS for our Book Club! [Can you believe it came & went so fast?] SPOILER ALERTS BELOW, & questions in the comments! ALSO... stay tuned since we'll be having a Twitter Chat about the book soon. :)
1. Did you think Bernadette had died? Were you hopeful that they'd find her, or did you think Bee was heading down the same erratic, obsessive path as her mother?
2. The book is about a woman who disappears, both literally and figuratively. Were you able to relate to this? Do you feel that her situation was unique, or did it accurately represent women who "disappear" into motherhood and marriage?
3. The trip was the cause of meltdowns for Bernadette, but ended up being exactly what she needed. How do the other characters experience their own breakthroughs?
4. The book ends somewhat open-ended. What do you foresee happening in the future between this family, specifically- Bernadette & Elgie?
5. Were you satisfied with the ending?

Perhaps it's the yearly resurgence of peonies, but I am finding myself gravitating towards all things pink these days. Now, let it be known that I don't always crush on the rosy hue. My room as a 5 year old, however, would beg to tell a different story. I was a girly-girl, through and through. Pink stripes, pink dots, pink carousel horses... all perfectly coordinated with my 100% pink wardrobe. Fierce!
These days, I think that pink is a little edgier than my 5 year old self would have been comfortable with. Yet maybe that's why I'm so obsessed? I love seeing pink sprinkled into even the most androgynous interiors & when fashionistas pair it with dusty hues.
While perusing my Pinterest boards, I noticed a theme & wanted to bring that inspiration to the blog. Above, you'll find my favorite pink pin-spiration, and below? All the blushing items on my wish list. What do you think of the controversial color??
